How do I remove unwanted panels?

While drawing/editing/configuring your roof layout, you can remove any unwanted panels.

1. Open your project's 'Site' tab

2. Select the 'Roof Layout' array definition

This mode uses the 'PVwatts' performance model.

3. Make sure the 'Select' mode is activated (click the hand icon in the Roof Layout Tool menu if it's not)

4. Option 1 – remove the whole array at once

4.1. Click on the Surface you wish to remove

4.2. At the bottom left, an info summary will appear with some additional functions. Click on the delete icon (recycle bin)

Alternatively, you can press 'Delete' on your keyboard.

You can also click the Surfaces icon in the Roof Layout Tool menu, and then, in the list of Surfaces, click the delete icon next to the Surface you wish to delete.

4.3. In the pop-up that appears, click 'OK' if you are sure you want to delete the whole Surface you've selected

Otherwise, click 'Cancel'.

5. Option 2 – remove individual panels

Some of the panels that were automatically filled may be sitting on top of a skylight (for example). In this case you can remove these panels individually.

5.1. The way to remove individual panels is to Hold down the 'Shift' key on your keyboard while you left click the unwanted panels

As you hold down the 'Shift' key, the selected Surface will be highlighted green. Click the unwanted panels while holding down the 'Shift' key. The unwanted panels will be removed and the area beneath highlighted pink.
