I want to overdrive my inverter. Can PVsell accommodate this?

Yep, it sure can. Simply enter an inverter capacity that is smaller than your array capacity: How do I enter the Inverter's AC capacity?

How Overdriving Works in PVsell

If you fill out the "Inverter AC Capacity" field (in case the inverter is smaller than the PV array), PVsell will then constrain the system output when it exceeds the inverter's capacity.

What does Overdriving affect?

Hourly solar output

The array output is capped at the inverter capacity.

Annual solar output

Less energy is produced in some hours of the day.

LCOE

Overdriving affects LCOE (levelised cost of electricity) as less energy is produced.

LGC

Inverter limitation also affects LGC revenue as less energy is produced.
