Yes, you can!
- Add one or more aspects/orientations in a roof layout and choose an edge that faces south to be the base edge ('Roof Layout' mode),
- or enter the south direction for the solar panels ('Azimuth & Tilt' mode), which, by the way, can be done for one or more (up to three) aspects too.
Note that entering a south-facing array is possible only in the PVwatts solar production model.
View the detailed overview of how to use our awesome roof layout functionality that we also call Lay'd:
You can configure this in the 'Roof Layout' Array Definition of your project's 'Site' tab in PVsell. Just select the south edge to be the base edge of the surface.
Learn the details here:

1. Open your project's 'Site' tab

2. Select the 'Azimuth & Tilt' array definition

3. Select the 'PVwatts' performance model

4. In the 'Orientation' section, specify the south orientation of an array
This is where you can specify the solar panels are facing south. Use one of the following ways at your convenience:
A. select the azimuth by clicking in the corresponding area of the compass rose,
B. or simply enter the necessary value in the field that appears as you click the default value at the centre of the compass (and then click anywhere outside the compass).
Site orientation should be entered as a positive value in degrees east of north.

5. Specify the Tilt of the array (in degrees elevated from horizontal)
This is the tilt for the panels in the aspect you are working in (e.g., 25 degrees incline). This should be entered in degrees elevated from horizontal using one of the following ways:
A. drag the toggle button up/down to adjust the tilt value,
B. or simply enter the necessary value in the field that appears as you click the default value at the centre of the pitch diagram (and then click anywhere outside the diagram)

You can upload into PVsell a solar output data file produced with a simulation program like PVsyst or PVWatts (free).
