How does PVsell calculate LGCs?

Systems can be created and used in many different projects (How do I add a new project?). The "System" tab is where you enter information about the PV system size, price, and any government incentives.

A system consists of array sizes and panel configurations. It also integrates pricing into its structure including any government incentives. Enter information about your PV system, and our tool will masterfully produce accurate calculations.

You can save time by loading system information from your library of systems. Learn how to add a new system to your library to be able to use it later: How do I save system information to my library?

In PVsell you can choose which type of solar incentive you want to apply to your project. Here we'll describe how PVsell calculates LGCs.

How to enter LGCs

If LGC discounts apply to your system, click "LGCs" in the "Government Incentives" pane of the "System" tab, then enter the Price per LGC for each Year in the associated box.

The detailed step-by-step instructions on how to enter LGCs can be found here: How do I enter LGCs?

The maximum value for each Price entry is $93.

How PVsell calculates these subsidies

As soon as you enter LGC prices for each year, PVsell will calculate the overall value of LGCs in each year for you.

How to check the calculations

You can see the calculated system price (in the table of the same name at the bottom of the System page) which is auto-updated depending on the system information entered. Check this summary to ensure all pricing information has been entered and will be processed correctly.
