What's the difference between Minimum State of Charge and Maximum Depth of Discharge?

PVsell performs the fastest high-accuracy assessment of the financial outcomes from a battery system, and its dependency upon the charge & discharge strategy.

When you input a battery (or load it to your project from the library), you can see a field where the Minimum State of Charge (at %) is (or needs to be) indicated.

This is the parameter identifying the minimum that the battery can be discharged to. The value of the minimum state of charge is entered as a percent of battery capacity.

The Minimum State of Charge (minSoC) is equivalent to
(1-maxDoD)
where maxDOD is the Maximum Depth of Discharge.

PVsell will not discharge the batteries below the minSoC.
