In many commercial PV systems, the network operator will not allow the system to export power to the grid. Other times export may be allowed, but constrained to some maximum level.
Export-constrained systems will actually produce less electricity. The constraint will mean the inverter 'spills' the energy. As a consequence, there will be:
- Less annual and monthly yield
- Less LGCs (if applicable)
- A higher LCOE
This is also explained in Export Limitation is Applied.
1. Open the project's 'Consumption' tab

2. Select whether you wish to apply export limiting or not (by clicking 'Yes' or 'No' respectively)
Select 'Yes' to apply export limiting.

3. If you have selected to apply export limiting, set a value which your export will be constrained to
When this value is set, then the maximum amount of power than can be export will be limited. However, some network providers allow export of a maximum amount of power, which can be set here.
The default value here is 0 (or no export).

This will show up in charts as a reduced amount of export power.
